Winston Smith is an average Party member living under the watchful eyes of Big Brother. In a grim existence where the past is as uncertain as the future, he is about to commit a capital crime: to fall in love. With every moment of daily life closely monitored, Winston and Julia struggle with the divide between inner morality and the dictates of their government. When leaders can't be trusted and the government seeks to break, sanitize and control the human mind, sweeping away entire chapters in the history of civilization, can the human spirit persevere?

This timeless, riveting story is based on George Orwell’s 1949 novel and adapted for theater by Robert Owens, Wilton E. Hall, Jr., and William A. Miles, Jr.
