Thespians Anonymous present:
The Antrobuses are a normal suburban household; Mr and Mrs Antrobus have enjoyed a more or less untroubled marriage for five thousand years now. Mr Antrobus goes to his office every day to invent the alphabet. Mrs Antrobus tries hard to keep the home fires burning in spite of the encroaching ice age – but the frisky maid Sabina keeps letting them go out and plotting to replace her in Mr Antrobus' affections. The daughter Gladys refuses to act like a lady, while the mark on the son Henry's forehead just won't go away. And to top it all off, the mammoth and the dinosaur are eating them out of house and home and there's a singing troupe lurking in the garden... Thornton Wilder's touching, humorous play The Skin of Our Teeth won a Pulitzer prize in 1943. It chronicles the journey of a perfectly ordinary family through disaster, mayhem and a rapidly changing world in a tale of love, loyalty, seduction and survival. The play is directed by Rebecca Mills.
