As the autumn nights grow longer, our merry crew decided that a good way to beguile the time of increasing darkness would be to put on a performance of twisted, disturbing short plays. Maurice Maeterlincks The Intruder is a tale of nameless fear and Gothic symbolism. Dark Pony by David Mamet evokes the enchantment of story-telling, while events in the Grand Guignol play At the Telephone unfold to a grisly, merciless conclusion. The Lighthouse, in which a little girls imagination produces chilling results, is a re-imagining by Rebecca Mills of another classic Grand Guignol idea, and the spine-tingling icing on this cake of terror is Edgar Allan Poes The Raven as youve never seen it before. Come and join us as we while away a pleasant evening by giving
you a glimpse into the shadowy terrors that lurk within the murky
depths of the human mind. |
